Sandscape and playsandscape.com are made by Looneyworks. This page explains, in plain English, what information they collect. The short version: almost nothing.
The game
Sandscape does not collect personal data. It contains no analytics, telemetry or advertising, and it does not connect to any server of ours.
The game uses Steam for achievements and for syncing your saves through Steam Cloud. Steam handles that data under Valve’s privacy agreement.
The game writes log and crash files (log.txt, crash.txt) to your own
computer. They stay there unless you choose to email them to us.
This website
playsandscape.com sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties other than Cloudflare’s analytics script described below: no ads, no social-media widgets, no embedded videos, no web fonts from other servers.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To count visits, it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or fingerprinting and does not track you across other websites. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks.
Links to the Steam store carry tags such as utm_source=playsandscape, so we
can see how many visits the site sends to Steam. They carry nothing about you.
If you write to [email protected], we use your email address and message only to answer you. Email to that address is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our inbox. We don’t add you to any list. Ask us and we’ll delete your messages.
Children
We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. A change that collects anything new will be described here before it happens.
